It's true I haven't see the whole country, but I prefer colder climates, mountains and the Northeast area and am considering various options.
Canada isn't too far up from where I'm at, which is just outside of NYC, and I'm using a wider definition/radius of the "greater metro area" with NJ/NYC as the center. That urban area has a wide influence and impact around it, at least 100 miles out to the backwater of the Hudson Valley.

I don't know yet, but the Far North can be crossed off my list. Somewhere in the countryside outskirts of a medium to big city or in a small town near mountains works for me.

Understood. Plenty of mountains, and cold in the Northeast though. It's tons easier to move to Maine, Vermont or New Hampshire instead of immigrating to another country.

Dude, Canada is basically a failed state, we’re living in borrowed time. 52% of this country is 2 paychecks away from bankruptcy. There are weekly mass protests across the country, not just the trucking convoy. They are breaking every law/right we have to ban guns. 17 million people could be homeless and bankrupt inside of 5 years. There is no freedom of speech here, and the censorship is insane.

I’m from Alberta, and love the mountains and cooler temps also. I honestly think Idaho & Montana are some of the most amazing places on earth, esp Sandpoint ID or Kalispell/Missoula MT. It will cost you less than 1/2 to live there then Canada, unlimited freedom and constitutional carry.

I know a lot of the left wing media in the US, sells this fairy tale, that everything is free in Canada and there is no crime. I seen it a ton, while working/driving in the US since 2008. It’s not true, and I should have left along time ago. If you prefer the East, Vermont, New Hampshire are amazing also.

Montana or Idaho will be where I'd want to go.

We used to vacation in Sandpoint and Hayden Lake ID. I couldn’t think of a single negative, except maybe socialist ####hole WA being so close lol. Twin Falls is another great spot, super nice weather year round, close to lots of cool stuff and SLC; Vegas is 1 day drive away on US93. Golf course in the big canyon, lots of big companies moving there, everything new and clean.

There are LOTS of truck stops and places To park if your east of toronto. ALL the roads are divided minimum 4 lanes all the way to the boat to Newfoundland, except for a little bit of the 85 and it will be done sooner than later. Lots of good food spots and family type restaurants to dine in.
Now, ontario west, different story. And I dont go there. A lot of northern ontario is no man's land and parking is limited, roads are ####, drivers are lunatics and the roads are 2 lanes.
I have a friend who runs ontario to BC weekly and loves it, says there's lots of places and it's all sunshine.... I guess it up to your own perspective.

I've been as far east as Kenora. Honestly about as far east as I plan to go.

Out west, the only twinned highways are really just the main ones like highways 1 and 16. Most of the rest are just single lane with the odd 3rd lane added for passing now and then.
