Attention employers: We now require a valid DOT# for anyone wishing to post a driving position. If your job offer doesn't contain a DOT number, it will not get past moderation and will not appear in the forum. The other requirements in the sticky at the top of this section are still required as well. Thank you for understanding.

Trimac seems like more money and easier work if u dont mind being gone and driving team. Autozone, well, the deliveries are not the best, nyc, long island, dc, all the congested areas and getting the truck into those stores and unloading by yourself. Also have to buy your own uniforms and you'll get the worst runs. Go with trimac for money and better treatment or go with autozone for more home time but a lot more bull. Also, i believe that autozone is going to night deliveries in these areas, just imagine ya by yourself in nyc with the keys to the building and no one there but you and the locals
. Good luck in either choice

i really like tanker work. trimac is teams? take the tanker! i just dont want to team myself.

Auto Zone should be pallatized freight/liftgate/electric pallet jack. Can you say "Dang, this is easy!"
-
Yep, easy in Arizona, but try new york city in the snow and oh the congestion, ah isnt that easy LOL. Lift gates work real good in the sub zero weather, and the 2 a.m. deliveries by yourself should be lots of fun in the big apple. Each job has its ups and downs but just pick your poision and be lucky to be offered work at this time.

easier than hooking a hose and opening a valve?

I used to be a Sales Manager for Autozone. I still have many friends that work there. They WILL NOT deliver out of business hours. They do not trust the drivers with access to the cargo and the manager has to record the seal numbers. Those drivers are the happiest I ever came across. I have met about 50 of them and only one #####ed. Of course, he also complained about having to use a pallet jack so he had issues that no one could fix.

Just wondering if its a good idea to work for a company that doesn't trust the drivers with access to the cargo. Sounds like there could be issues there. But probably not a bad job just a pain getting into some of those stores. And I have heard from their drivers that night delivers are gonna happen if they can find someone crazy enough to do it. Anyhow, good luck

Work retail, they don't trust anyone. They get ripped off a bunch by their employees. I used to work for Lowe's.
Of course two on the night stocking crew stole over $170K of merchandise and ebayed a bunch of it. Lots they returned with no receipt and got cash.
I don't think they will be prosecuted either.
Had one girl that was not signing off on roofing her fiance was getting. He would pick up the same order 3 times. $55K! Arrested, fired, never prosecuted. Her hubby still does business there.

for me this is a easy choice trimac deals in bulk and treats there drivers that I know pretty good
Autozone is a discounter and probably penny pinches everything to death including the value of there drivers
