Have my 2001 W900L C-15 6NZ at a repair shop right now to fix the Cruise Control and Idle Set controls in the Smart Wheel. They found that the clock spring was faulty and replaced it. It seemed to work at first but then they found it would drop off in RPM slowly and not hold while driving with cruise control. The idle set would not work correctly either but after driving and parked, it would pick up on resume and seem to go to the last set RPM during cruise, but would also drop RPM slowly. The brake and clutch would shut it off immediately as it it supposed to. They are having difficulty finding the issue. They suspect the one they installed could be faulty but before ordering another new clock spring they are running tests. I am just trying to help them figure it out because I'm stuck at home. Does anyone know what the problem may be?
