Ok. I will report back with what I figure out. Thank you all for any help. This is my first truck and I feel so overwhelmed at times with stuff like this.

Quick question. So I am supposed to cap the breather tube? If I do that and also put the manometer in the oil fill hole wont air pressure build up too high in the engine with no where to go?

No you’re right need to have some ventilation. I’ve never actually done the test. Check Utube “ Rawze ISX DYI blow by test”. Otherwise a shop can do the test properly first with comp disconnected next with turbo disconnected etc

I would have it checked before getting an overhaul. Because it happened suddenly. Somethings broke somewhere. Rings and cylinders usually wear more over time. Not to say something could be wrong internally as well. But much cheaper if comp or. Turbo. 602 k miles is low for needing an OH. Hard to believe unless just a fluke bad cylinder or head problem
