Where is everyone #5

Went to the Waffle House. Only 2 booths open and most of the counter seats. First time my boys have been there. Only one gal working, about my mom's age or more. Asked what the deal was. Said her server was no call no show.....again. Gees. Felt bad for her. Normally, I'm not a tipper. What you make is between you and your employer. Got nothing to do with me. However, this gal was a helluva trooper. Running the whole show at the Waffle House.....my hats off! So, I made it worth her while.

 

The no show server probably got tired of people not leaving a tip.

 

well they forgot my dang shrimp!!

 

Doubtful. Like most folks in this market....just got tired of working. Nobody gives me a tip for doing my job and I still manage.

 

22 still costs the same here. SFA on the shelves though.

 

Stopped at cabellas in Sydney. There was maybe 10 customers in the whole place. Gal behind the counter was reading a book when we walked in. Place was dead. Got harassed by 4 different employees about signing up for their credit card.....nope I'm good. Had to just walk away...they don't like taking no for an answer.....thats for sure. 22lr was $27.99 for 200 rounds and that was the cheapest stuff they had. They had all kinds of ammo, I just didn't have the nerve to buy anything else.

 

ha !! I had to go back and look, they remembered the pat of butter on the steak !!

 

Trade? Portable potato fields here.guess I'm gonna have to sit n wait it out.

 

I hope you're not serious. In one breath you're complaining all the sit down restaurants are going away and the next, announcing you don't tip.

 

All kinds of serious. Tipping is for above and beyond service. It's not because you just decided to show up. If you don't like your pay, best take that up with your boss. If you want more of my money that I work for......well, you gotta do more than just show up.
