I felt we needed a visual for your quote.
That would be hilarious watching people or kids, bat balloons and beach balls at a robot truck.

On this same train of thought, I heard Schneider was looking into alcohol vapor detection devices for company vehicles. Probably to increase misery for fleecing. Just in case anyone thought they were still pro driver.

Until 5G is literally everywhere and these vehicles have proven track records of safety nothing will change. The only alternative is to have autonomous trucks with a human driver backup. Good luck on I-70 west of Denver in the winter. I don't see how a truck like that can operate safely in adverse conditions. It's difficult enough with a human driver.snowlauncher and Ffx95 Thank this. -
They’ll use autonomous trucks for Amazon DC to DC, USPS DC to DC etc. There won’t be autonomous trucks delivering gasoline anytime soon. Local deliveries with liftgate jobs aren’t going anywhere. The human element will be around for a long time. If you’re employed as a driver today, you will more than likely be able to retire as a driver if you choose too.
