Yep, I’m sure they expected it, a hazmat tanker load of chemicals. Parked at terminal, dollied it down, put their kingpin lock in it, one copy of bills, other copy went to the driver services desk along with kingpin lock key.
Two days later, after I had already quit, they tried to tell me it was a non hazmat load, which I’d done called and told them it was hazmat.
They put it on Qualcomm as no hazmatAnother Canadian driver Thanks this. -
Meh
Parking it at the trucking companies terminal isn’t really abandoning or quitting under a load
My version of that is when you leave their truck and trailer and cargo on the side of the road or at a truck stopAnother Canadian driver, Hammer166 and Geekonthestreet Thank this. -
We worked for them back in 2006 ish. Never had a problem.
Back then a few of the dispatchers were ex truck drivers so there was a good understanding.
I would approach David, (not sure if Don is still active in the business) and/or operations manager and let them know what this 'new' dispatcher is up to. get another dispatcher.
Good luck.Another Canadian driver, merv85 and bigrigbuttercup Thank this. -

You were a lot nicer than I would have been. After my most recent ex-wife I won't put up with anybody yelling at me for any reason. So my response to her would have been "I won't talk to you because you're not talking to me, YOU'RE YELLING AT ME" and then I'd have walked away to let her chew on that until her blood pressure dropped below her IQ level.Val_Caldera, TripleSix, Another Canadian driver and 2 others Thank this.

That's why my nickname is "on time with flies." I make every deadline, regardless of the stench.Sirscrapntruckalot, Another Canadian driver and Boondock Thank this.

A professional way to tell a company that I can't hold my piss or poop for 8hrs. Hmmmmmm.....I can't think if one. I would completely ignore what they have to say and continue to piss or poop at my leisure. If they fire over that, then that's just what it is. That's just the powers that be in action. Fate will eventually remove you from the situation, or spark the need to put some feelers out there.
Another Canadian driver, bigrigbuttercup, Boondock and 1 other person Thank this.
