Sounds like I'm moving back to the area come spring time despite the cost, the wife and I miss our friends/family.
I'll have 1yr of experience with Tractor Trailers/Box Trucks, I'll have all my endorsements at the time of the move. My Class A experience is limited to refer.
I'm not afraid of Nights or working in general, just want to be home every night, or in a hotel/truck no more than twice a week. I'd like LTL/Linehaul or some sort of tanker gig.
Benefits are a priority for wife and son.

If you try linehaul/LTL and don't like it (as is the case with some people), you'll likely want to look into tanker opportunities.
At that point--it will help out quite a bit if you (also) have a TWIC card.
Having one definitely helped me score the tanker gig (fuel) that I have now.
Suggestion: you might consider going ahead and applying for one NOW....so that if/when you need it, you'll already have it.
I understand that fuel haulers out there are doing quite well.

ODFL has terminals in the south Seattle and Tumwater areas, and both terminals are hiring.
The only thing to be aware of about Costco is that you need to be prepared to possibly work weekends, and for the first time last year they went to an annual "bid" system, where times and runs are bid on by seniority.LilRedRidingHood and tscottme Thank this. -
