All depends on what the percentage is of .... If they gross $400 000 on 80 000 miles, sign me up on 40%.
What they make on the top does not concern an owner operator, just like it does not concern him how much the product, he is hauling, is sold for.
Don't mistake this as transparency which is a different matter. A slightly different matter.Last edited: May 25, 2022

You know one part of the equation based on public knowledge and made a blanket statement without knowing the rest. I could tell you I’m paying $185 a week to rent a dry van and you’d say I’m going broke based on what you know that’s public knowledge, but again you don’t know the entire story. Or I could give you the number of a friend and tell you that he takes 30% and you’d never even call him just based on the number when in reality you could make more to your truck at the end of the day than running your own numbers pulling your own trailer. It’s tough to make informed decisions or statements without knowing the entire picture.RefMata, Dadetrucking305, God prefers Diesels and 7 others Thank this. -

Dude posted revenue but no miles.
Could be 3500 miles to get that revenue.
Or where did his week final out at? Those number could be artificially inflated because final load emptied out in Colorado where next load he will be coming out for next to nothing.
Your reply was to the wrong person.
Regardless we know all anyway you can't believe what people say on the internet. -
As far as percentage goes giving up 25-35% means their load offerings have to be sky high rates to make up for the difference that is taken out.
That's all I'm saying.RefMata Thanks this.
