As of may 2022 Currently this company offers:
Traditional: 2-3 weeks out 2-3 days home
.60cpm and sign on bonus paid at 30 60 and 90 days (this is allegedly different for some people).
guarantee paid $1500 a week
Road warrior: 8 week on the road 10 days home.
.70 cpm (it’s actually .65) but after your “bonus” it works out to be .70 cpm
on your first 10 days home they will pay you $500.00 fly you back to the house. And when you return pay you an additional $500.00
Guaranteed pay $1625 a week
As many of you know there’s always a catch.
You are not eligible for guaranteed pay if you are not open for Dispatch from Monday until the following Monday. Which means you cannot turn down any loads.
You are also not eligible for guaranteed pay if you are late to any load for any reason.
you run off recaps.
You WILL be splitting your 10 hour breaks.
The will flip flop you days to nights
They will ask you to run loads on Personal conveyance if you don’t have the hours.
they will also ask you to edit your log to create more times for deliveries. If you don’t they will remotely log into your tablet and change it for you if you have not already certified your logs,
I have caught them doing so.
they give you #### near impossible loads.
Most of which are relays.
If you over sleep and don’t wake up in time for your load expect another driver to be knocking on your door, or a drop yard employee, and sometimes even the police.
They will send people to wake you up and interrupt you on your 10 hour break to log out of your tablet so they can have you illegally relay a trailer.
for those of you who think the DOT can’t see this. I showed an officer my logs. There are other things that they can see that you cannot see in your logs.
If you lie and get caught its on you.
on the very last day of orientation they will demand that you download an app called EVVY.
it’s an app that will sense movement and will lock you out of your phone so you cannot text or use your phone while driving. Seems reasonable, until you find out that the app works even when you aren’t driving. It also collects data, and allows the company the see who you are talking to and who you are texting.
if you don’t download the app on the day you get your truck they will send you home sometimes on a bus. Or they will kick you to the curb with no way home.
The reason the company implemented this app is because a few years ago a driver was watching Netflix and driving and we ended a van killing a few people.
Later that year they had a similar incident a driver rear ending in killing a college student.
I have worked for this company for almost a year and I have thoroughly documented many of the situations with various dispatchers. I have logged and documented complaints with the fmcsa, DOT and OSHA.
for me the most damning information was when the DOT officer told me that he was familiar with K&B transportation and the trickery they try to pull on drivers.
Lastly I met a 19 year employee that said he wanted to Finish the last year with them, but because the company has changed so much and they constantly ask him to break the law to deliver loads. That he doesn’t even recognize anybody in the company anymore. He decided to retire early. Because he doesn’t want to get caught up in any legal BS.
stay away from this company.

As with most things, they are structured to look great on their face, but reality is not so rosy.
365 = (46 + 10) 6.5
If you make the guaranteed pay every one of the 8 weeks, that's $1625 * 8 * 6.5 = $84,500
So just over $84k to live in a truck 2 months at a time, split sleeper, relay, be awakened every time you try to sleep, track your every move on your cell phone, and never be late or refuse a load. Meanwhile there are companies that will pay more to work under better conditions and let you get adequate sleep.

That app got me. With that they have access to all your files, personal info.
You step out of the truck they are following you. Creepy if you ask me.bryan21384 and bzinger Thank this. -
8 years later, they’re still calling cops for a “welfare check” of their drivers that go to bed.cdavis188, just_sayin, N3TD3ViL and 3 others Thank this. -
If they’re asking you to run loads under personal conveyance even though you’re out of hours that should be a red flag in itself and to tell the company “Adios”!!

Yeah screw all that. As far as I'm concerned there isn't a trucking company on this planet paying enough to put up with that kind of micro managing b.s. Stories like that make me glad I retired when I did.just_sayin Thanks this.

My first truck driving job, Had the the same vp that k&b transportation has had for 25 years
Direct Transit
This Sioux City-area based trucking company was cruising along registering good growth rates each year until it had grown to a carrier that generated about $140 million in 1995. It was then that DTI agreed to be purchased by Schneider, who later backed out of the deal after not being able to come to final closing terms in December of 1996.
Swift Transportation then stepped in and agreed to purchase DTI, but a list of issues including foreclosure, bankruptcy, and tax evasion charges brought all deals to a halt.
Charles G. Peterson, who was in the process of selling DTI, pleaded guilty to income tax evasion, admitting to pocketing excess money from truck and trailer leases.
The plea agreement was on one of the three counts of tax evasion he was charged with in April 1997. Mr. Peterson's plea said between 1989 and 1990 he diverted at least $750,000 from the leases, evading taxes of between $200,000 and $350,000
