    Sure. But we'll get there.

I'm a diesel guy. But I've been interested in electric cars for I think about twenty years, because I saw some people build a car that had cell phone batteries all over the outside of it, and it smoked a Viper in the quarter mile. So trust me when I say I don't care about carbon emissions and all that other crap. If I can burn rubber in a semi truck, I'm down.

When we wait at all these warehouses to unload - there will be a charger next to each loading door. I’m thinking- pointless trying to fight technology- just like ELD’s - you might as well give up and be monitored each and every mile you drive. It’s already happening

For all their faults, Tesla's have less cases of catching on fire than gas vehicles.

I think we are further along in that entire battery thing than we might think

    Look at cell phones
I use to haul around a phone the size of a semi battery
Now I can charge in just minutes and it lasts hours if not a day or two
I think the batteries they’re using now are just preliminary ones as not to give away trade secrets
We all might be surprised when this all happens in short order
Technology is running at a rapid pace. It was the groundwork that was slow. Now it’s just a tweaking game

Have you driven a Tesla? A buddy of mine rented one (Turo) on a trip to Vegas. I don't remember which model but it was a dual motor performance model. It was mind boggling how fast it was. I used to be big in to crotch rockets/race bikes. These are that fast. I mean leave about anything you can imagine in the dust fast. I still remember the drive (for me about 5 minutes before he turned it in. It was amazing.

Funny thing is I never see people driving them fast but they will do it.

No, but my dad rode in one. He's your typical "hates new stuff" kind of person. Needless to say, he was pretty dang impressed.

like everything else in business. you must keep it up with technology, otherwise your business will die.
    is there a
yep, me too. I hate new tech crap. im 50 and I grew up with out it. but, I have to adapt to it. I can't haul cheap loads with 6-7 dollars per gallon. so, I have to look for new ways to lower my equipment cost . im not going to lower my labor cost.

That's good. You're drawing a line in the sand.

Hey, what's that pickup in your avatar? Is it yours?
