They do send load offers of one to three loads. Usually just one. You can ask for something different but usually that falls on deaf ears.

Thanks. I appreciate the reply. Just getting packed up now and getting ready for the wife to run me up to KC. When I sold my truck last Sept I thought I was out of trucking for good. Amazing how a furnace replacement and a blown enine in my Pickup along with braces for two kids will all of a sudden change your point of view about trucking. :biggrin_25513: Not to mention your bank account ballance.:biggrin_25525: Oh well, hopefully the transition to company driver won't be to hard to get used to. You all stay safe out there and maybe I will run up on you all sometime. Appreciate the replys everybody.

The biggest/most important thing to get used to is, "log it like you run it". This will affect you in many ways and does take some getting used to. However, you can still run between 2500-3500 miles a week. If you can't adjust to that, don't bother showing up for orientation.

Yes, the Mid-West Regional Fleet. If you call and talk with a Crete recruiter (not a headhunter recruiter you find hanging on truck stop walls) they will give you correct information.

I can atest to the logging it like you run it. Sitting in Ottawa on a mandatory 48 hour shutdown due to logbook violations GGRRR I have no one to blame but myself though. I have 20 years of trucking experience working against me here. You just cant do your logs anymore like you did in the good ole days.. But having said that..Crete is the only company ide ever run OTR for !!! Two weeks in a row over 3100 miles :)

I still keep in touch with my old trainer and he just had 3400 and 3600 for the last 2 weeks(without student). I called him last Tuesday and he was on hometime in GA. Then he sends me a pic the other day from WY,next day a pic from Nevada, yesterday a pic with 5 foot high snow drifts in Cali. This guys moves like crazy! I unfortunately didn't get those miles while I was there.
