I have a I'll deadhead a thousand miles before I'll haul anything for you list. TQL is number 1 on that list, followed closely by XPO and Buchanan.

Welcome to the club. Our numbers are growing. Soon they’ll be the ones blacklisted. By themselves. Let them pay the Mega's high rates to move their freight. Ahh hah hah hah hah!

Anybody else notice they like to post the same load as originating from every town within a 50 mile radius of where it actually is? Just irritates the hell out of me.

Lots of folks dont know where Bumfudge, MO is, so to generate calls, brokers post out of the nearest big town most people have heard of. 50 miles isnt unreasonable. But, when its 100, i totally understand the frustration.

That’s not a valid argument. When you do a load search and you are within whatever radius of bumfudge it will show up on the search. It’s irritating. They should just post the actual pickup location.

I digress. It is valid. My job is to cover loads for my customer. IF i have to post something out of Tampa that picks at the port 35 mi south to get calls i will. Plenty of driver arent native English speakers or arent geography experts and wont call based on a different posting because they only know 2 cities in FL. Not to mention, there are SO many load board scammers out there, its important to protect my customers info from the Armenian scam artists in SoCal.

Trust me i know what i am doing, been doing it long enough.

How many time wasting calls do you get when they learn it’s loading out of the port or when it’s 75 miles farther down the road than they thought. Trust me, I won’t waste my time when I see that crap. I delete them all from my search.

No more time wasting calls than when I post out of the exact cities the load picks/drops. Most of the time wasters are Chicago based double-brokers or dispatch services that waste time anyway... or people just trying to fish for info. Most of the time when i offer to pay the port fees, it convinces the carrier to take the load, even if they didnt expect to pick up at the port when they called. I cant post all of that info on DAT either.

I understand it can be frustrating from your perspective but it does work effectively for me when covering loads and finding trucks..
