Boy, what a difference a few days makes!!!
Five days ago was in MN where the temp in Duluth was -31F with a WC(windchill) of -44F. Now, I am sitting in W. Memphis, AR and the temp is a warm 60F!!!! A difference of 92 degrees!!!! Very nice!!!!

The Saga continues:

01-21-10: Drove my 9.5 hrs and made it to the service plaza # Strongpath, OH plus had a stop for fuel at the TA in Lamar, PA.

01-22-10: Had to fuel at the TA in Russell, IL. Our trks have two 150 gal tanks. I filled up with 245 gals.
While getting fuel received my next ld assignment. It was from Manawa, WI to Wells, ME. MT=101 LD=1285 miles. After reviewing my log book and writing out a pre-plan discovered that I was 7.5 hrs short of making the required appt. I felt terrible because it was such a great trip with plenty of miles and a great delivery time(not 0200hrs) # a food warehouse!!! However, I had to let dispatch know that I couldn't legally deliver the ld at the scheduled delivery time so I had to decline the load. DARN IT!!!
Received a new load assignment within 15". A load from Janesville, WI to Memphis, TN. MT=77 LD=621 miles. I had enough hrs remaining and I accepted this ld.
Made it the cosignee in Hartford, WI # 1530 hrs. The scheduled appt was # 2100 however, had CSR call earlier and the receiver stated they would fit me in when I arrived. Arrived and was out in 45". Wonderful!!!
NOTE: This is the same load of paper rolls that it took them 4.75 hrs to load me in Ayer, MA!!!
Was MT and took off for Janesville. WI. A good day!!!

01-23-10: At Janesville, WI. A nice D\H pre-loaded trl, In and out in 30"
Made it to W. Memphis, AR. No fuel needed. I deliver on Mon # 0830hrs.
Will do my required 34 hr restart here. Great opportunity to watch both football games.

Good week!!! 3035 miles with alot of accessorial pay(extra stops, detention).

Yes, B&B has E-Z Pass as well as Pre-Pass. E-Z pass works in every state except Kansas. I agree that it makes a big difference and is a big plus for company to have and\or provide.

The Vikings lost!!! I hate them(AGAIN)!!!! Thought they would make to the Super Bowl to loose their fifth!!!

01-25-10: Made it to the consignee in Memphis with no problem. In\out in 1.75 hrs. While being unloaded received my next ld assignment. A load from Batesville, MS to Prairie Du Chien, WI. MT=62 LD=744 miles. Was unloaded and hopped down to Batesville. Very nice shipper!!! In\out in 60". Left and shut down in Peavely, MO.

01-26-10: Drove up to Troy, IL and fueled at the Pilot; One of the few Pilots that have adequate parking. While driving, received my next ld assignment. A load from Prairie Du Chien, WI to Mitchell, SD. MT=00 LD=378. I really enjoy these types of loads. You drop one loaded trl and you pick up another loaded trl from the same location!!! I don't drop and pickup until tomorrow # noon so I am now at "THE LARGEST TRUCKSTOP IN THE WORLD" where I'll get a shower and enjoy a great meal tonight and a great breakfast in the morning!!! Note: The sun is shining brightly and it is lightly snowing\flurries!!!

It doesn't get any better than this!!!
