Thanks for the thorough explanation.I was thinking that the guy wasn’t using it correctly in the same way that 150 air miles get used in the oilfield, but those drivers don’t go on TikTok to openly say that they worked 20 hrs.
I think this guys math is off

Why does anyone want to drive that many hours.
Idiots. Dont follow thier practices if you ever want to retire and enjoy your grandkids.jethro712 and Another Canadian driver Thank this. -
Thats alot of whats wrong with society today, IMHO. Folks have lost the work ethic and drive that built this country and made it great... And instead have taken up the "I want, I want, I want, ME, ME, ME" attitude. It's sad what this country is changing into. Who cares what your costs are if your revenue covers it?
To ops question, 1100$/day 18 hr days, at 55 mph (an average) is 990 miles... a fuel cost of 1.11/mile. Calling fuel cost 6$/gal would give us 5.4 mpg. That may be a bit off
His math is off yes, his buisness model is stupid, and hes complaining about it because he doesnt have the brains to adjust to market conditions... or hes lying his keister off. Hos or not, youre paying me VERY HANDSOMELY if you want me to run nearly 1k miles in a single 24 hr period, to assume this is normal and do it 5-6 days a week, i need to be a millionaire in 4 years as a company driver, as an owner, much higherAnother Canadian driver and Dadetrucking305 Thank this. -
So your system would actually put you on and off the clock every few minutes or so if you were on a twisty road that was going inside and out of that line?Another Canadian driver Thanks this. -
Exactly, the ELD does it all. Most drivers just go off exempt manually, but the geofencing let’s us dial it in to the fraction of a mile.
Another Canadian driver, Dadetrucking305 and GYPSY65 Thank this. -
Not sure what plant they’re going to, but his rate sheet is barely a thousand dollars. And if he’s doing 2 of those and running 850 miles a day then I’d say it’s time to stop hauling milk if he wants his business to survive.
