Can't find "new driver" part time CDL A work anywhere around NYC

    You could always find out who is operating the spotter trucks at a local facility... these positions run whenever the facility is running, and the 24-hour places usually have problems finding enough coverage for nights and weekends.,

    Try a temp agency, I use to work everyday or 1 day a week however I wanted. They would just let me know what they had when I called in or some repeat customers would call me.

    I went through this. It will be near impossible to find a company willing to train a new driver for a part-time position. Too much time and expense for the company for someone who isn't going to be working full-time. The smaller companies can't take you because of insurance requirements. I did end up finding a part-time position with Schneider, but I still had to attend their full-time 3 week orientation and training. They don't have very many part-time positions and you'd have to be close to one of their terminals.
