If mine wasn't plumbed into the truck coolant system, I would of ripped it out years ago. I could of bought at least 20 generators with the money I've spent on it. Now here we are at 105° outside currently, and it chooses today to quit working, when if fired up fine at the house 2 days ago.

Same with me . Mines plumbed into the main engine. Not really sure how to get rid of that. Maybe just cap off the lines? I gave up on fixing it after the 4th alternator in less than 2 years.. Never would put much of a load on it either. Just tv and computer. Now it just throws a alt code and wont start up. Fixed just about everything else on it other than breaking into the engine. Wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't the most poorly designed pain in the ### thing to work on. With overpriced junk parts that fail over and over again with no good aftermarket alternatives.. Ok Ill get off my soap box now.

@BigBob410 Have you bought a handgun lately?

MD changed the forms 77R to electronic, so now you have to set up an account with the MSP’s Licensing Division.

Yah you're preaching to the choir here. I think the coolant lines would have to be replumbed. It cycles through the whole system wether its the APU or the big motor. If I knew what went where and connected to whichever way it was supposed to, I'd give 'er a go, cause where the APU sits is the only place I could put a generator.

The other thing that chaps my brisket, is why the need to put the condenser fan on the back of the cab? Seriously, they couldn't have figured out a way to NOT drill holes into the truck?

I think I going to take on that project when the weather starts cooling down at the house .. So like December lol .. Ya my fan is drilled into the back as well. Behind the headache rack about midway down. No getting to it unless u take the rack off. Or u have 8ft long skinny arms

You should see the butcher job they did to the floor of my sleeper for the electric APU. I guess at least it's out of sight when I'm not under the truck. Ductwork is even worse.

FYI, that fan is a $1200 part, they're just as proud of that as they are everything else.

Toss that dpf off into the scrap bin(not needed in 96) and retune the N14.
It should be good for 6MPG minimum depending on gearing and no longer pushing a plow and idling many winter hours.
