    I remember that in the Bay Area in California, we could get has on Monday, Wednesday and Friday if your license plate ended in an even number. Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday with an odd number. Might have been the other way around. Anyone could get gas on Sunday, if you could find an open station. Back then they still had gas stations that weren't convenience stores of mega stations.
    And I did wait in line a few times.
    Odd though, we would go up to Reno or Tahoe a lot to throw our money away and never once had any problems finding gas to get back on. Rumor was the Casino industry made sure of that.

    It's a county deal. Some counties allow Sunday beer sales after 1 or 2 pm. The county south of us does.
