Just be wary of this, on some of these newer trucks this will cause a DPF malfunction, found out by accident. Did this on my '21 T680, truck idled for 8 hrs, next morning, as soon as I set the brakes, it triggered a DEF temp warning, followed by an immediate regen, then once I started driving I got a DEF temp warning pop-up again and it did a prolonged regen.

Ahhh that's good info. I did hear something about idling creating more soot in the system. Do you think that was a contributor as well?

Not sure, asked my boss about it, he shrugged his shoulders. I haven't had to do that since then, although something a week ago triggered a check engine light, hopefully they are checking it out this morning

In this day and age, if you have to suffer health issues because the company won't order some type of APU/EPU for driver comfort, time to seek new employment. Having to find a way to bypass the anti-idle software is ridiculous.

Jeebus! That's an insane set of thresholds. Our trucks have actual APUs and still allow idling above 80 and below 50 just in case the APU fails.

THIS! Never drive for a company that won't provide for your comfort. No A/C repair? Get out of that truck. No APU and no Idle? Get out of that truck.

There are hundreds of companies to choose from that will care for your well-being.

If you do the trailer brakes set and push in the yellow truck brake and try that route, you better make #### sure you test those trailer brakes. If your companies like mine, one and three trailers I come across the brakes are basically worthless. You’ll wake up on. Heap of trouble, I chalk the wheels as well. And try to park somewhere flat if you’re gonna go that route.

The kenworth dealership wanted $250 to turn off the idle shutoff problem that kenworth intentionally created, I got a lot of rub for these guys now.

We don’t have sleepers and are home daily!

That’s just for our comfort while we’re waiting:D

Our day cabs are the same... over 80, below 50, not 90/20.
