A steer tire is $1000 now.
Yet another reason not to run your truck into the ground with cheap freight.

Just for reference, if you get 150k out of those tires they cost you .013 per mile to run them.

My truck has one of those fancy thermometers too. Pretty hot today in Texas.

Just for reference, I paid $500 a year ago for a Michelin steer.
    All costs add up.

Run over the wrong thing and a tire can be wiped out immediately.

    Rideandrepair Thanks this.

And if $1000 makes or breaks you as a truck owner you were on your way out already.

I haven’t had to buy steer tires since 2020 so I’m a little out of touch.

FYI I'm still doing $3-$4 a mile with ease with my flatbed. Getting over $4 has been tough unless is going to middle of nowhere or is oversized.

Sometimes will see 400 mile trips for $2000 but usually are heavy and 8 foot tarps.

    Rideandrepair and 77fib77 Thank this.

Says they have 69 in stock. Saw cheaper, but I'm too lazy to cut and paste any more.
None of them mention anything about shop fees so maybe that's how their making it up?

Rideandrepair, Gatordude and Siinman Thank this.
