Need some help...New Connex CX-4600 Turbo

Joe or anyone else who might be in the know ...

I'm Konrad and new to this site and noticed that you have been the proud owner of a Connex 4600 Turbo CB as well. This is why I'm sending you this note. I've been trying to find a manual for mine online without much luck so far. I just acquired it and hoped can get it into proper operation in the next week or so. I'm already familiar with the limitations I'm facing with this radio but was hoping you might be able to point me in the right direction for finding a manual. As a last resort perhaps you can make a copy of yours if you have one. I'd be willing to pay you for it if it wouldn't be too much trouble. Regardless, any assistance you might be able to provide would be greatly appreciated.

I HAVE A CONNEX 4600 TURBO QUIT TALKING AND RECEIVEN ALL AT THE SAME TIME CAN ANY ONE TELL ME WHAT IS WRONG WITH IT

 

It is on most radios--galaxy 98v. Is e band for AM

 

Probably it has a bad mosfet or badd mosfets... sounds like your antenna wasn't matched to your radio and your swrs were too high....

 

Yes if the fcc doesn't go after that guy out in Ontario ca. The way he talks on his base station I'd say you probably having nothing to be worried about.. he cusses obsessively and is extremely racist...

 

Any CB kicking out over 4watts is illegal. If you peak and tune a cobra 29 it's an illegal radio. Alot of illegal radios are out here as long as you aren't causing public interference or playing on other frequencies the FCC won't even bother you just use your brain.

I can not find any information on what the FM. Switch does. Can anyone help me

 

FM is coming to a CB radio near you.

I haven't heard anybody talking on FM yet. If drivers could agree on an FM channel, that might change....
