One more thing.... Is tanker experience required to get in the door at Linde? I applied for the job at Linde about a week ago and recruiter sent me a text asking if I have at least 2 years of tanker experience. I only have 4 years of experience pulling 48' trailer and doubles.
This is what she wrote to me...
She is supposed to call me on Monday for a "phone screening interview".
Cryo companies after all the mergers...who's good to work for?

@Fuelinmyveins --
Do keep us posted on how your Linde phone interview goes.
The Linde ads that I've seen read, "2 years tanker experience -- OR -- 3 yrs T/T exp."

Once you learn the routine it's just a matter of doing the right thing all the time. Learned behavior. Was easy for me. Just needed to put in the time to get a good start time or days off you can deal with.2 in a row.
Most here had no tank experience. You will be trained on operation.
Hard to not do 100K+
The cameras don't bother me. I ain't doing anything I shouldn't but if eating a candy bar was against rules I'd be gone long ago..lol
BTW We only bid once annually. Started w a 5pm then 7pm then midnight. 4th year got a 1pm then a 9:30am. At 9 years got a 10am w fri and sat off. Will start my 13th year here in a couple of weeks. Best schedule is by guys w at least 15 yrs. We are a 24/7/365 operation so you will work holidays too for the first 8 or so but it's double time and a half.Last edited: Jul 22, 2022

Do you get paid extra $ for working on a holiday? Air Products driver once told me that he gets paid $375 just for showing up to work on a holiday. -
GPS is OK
My holiday pay is about 1400 for a full shift. Which is double time and a half.viper822004, dr5169, scythe08 and 1 other person Thank this. -
