Have you ever driven a true fully mechanical before? It is a different animal if you’re used to the new just mash the throttle and go engines. Higher working and cruise rpms and no lugging around. Know when to ease into it or let out of it before the fuel pressure, boost or exhaust heat that is going to kill it happens because the computer controls that on new engines but not a mechanical. You have to be smarter than the engine or you will burn it down quick. Overhauls on the old NTC’s ain’t cheap no more and unfortunately most of the parts are chinese knock off now. I’m Sure old Cats are slowly going that way as well.
