Well I took quick pay, mainly because I upped my rate to cover it, we shall see tomorrow if they pay!

It's not the shipper, it's the "dumb owner operators running for cheap".

If they wouldn't run for cheap then the broker/shipper couldn't slash the rates and still get them moved.

There's just too many trucks and too few loads now.
The whole posting of the truck thing is near dead at this point, getting near zero bits when that is what usually has gotten me the best results.
Not even the cheap freight brokers are reaching out to me, I guess they are getting their cheap loads covered too.

DAT has said flatbed truck postings are at all time record highs.

It is not sustainable, so it will drop down for sure or the entire planet will crash again as it did with covid outbreak

I know it's fools willing to run for peanuts. It's just sad when even the broker calls them stupid. It's just time for a break. These times come and go. It's par for the course. The only thing that concerns me is how long will it last. If it lasts too long I may have to lease on somewhere or get a company job. Neither of which sound very appealing to me at all.

I agree. It's all about making money. Kissing broker gluteus maximus and doing favors isn't getting the carrier very far. It's more important to know the market well so one can get as much out of it when they can while it's in their favor.

Unless your super special. Jet engines, spaceEx, big OD, Google back up generators(which are 13' 5" wide). Your relationship is pretty replaceable.

Jet engines don't pay super well considering it's 3 million for a used one needing a rebuild on a business jet. But pay better than normal. I have done that. The other stuff I have a friend who has done it.

Well Brandon just announced a half trillion in new spending and tax hikes.
Looks like there will be no cure for donkey pox until 2025.

@ProfessionalNoticer what type of roofing material are you referring to? Shingles, rolls, insulation, or something else?
