Nah I had to give up the hard tail but I'd rather have the hood! I can go from a FL Columbia or Cascadia to a long WB and back like I never left it!

But watch me try to back up the pickup with a boat trailer and you'll ROFLYFAO at me!

Well a hard tail with a messed up pelvis from where a truck falls on you just isn't in the "comfort" stage! Especially now at over 50+! I enjoy a nice smooth ride and not feeling all the bumps in the road!

I always prefered a long hood 379, now im in a columbia flat top........hate it..........as for petes with a 53' rgn, if yall have been in pa on the pike in valley forge (exit 326) the company i used to run for did all the concrete barrier work.....nothin like turnin that trailer with a 60,000# gradall around in the small space between EB and WB they gave us......let alone do a flip at the toll booth, but id go back to that combo any day of the week as opposed to the 48' cvs trailers i pull now

i know what you're saying because everytime i get into a conventional, conventional pete/kw (not the newer stuff) i have problems keeping it in my lane because i'm not used to such a narrow cab.

i think they are good, quality products though and i think a good compromise would be the shorter nose versions such as the w-900B, not A. etc.

I'd never had any problems with my snubnose 379. Now I bounce between assorted Mack daycabs and Columbia condos and its a nuisance hitting a tight dock with the Columbia. Something about the mirrors doesn't ever look right, feels like I'm going sideways on a. straight back.

Give me a 379 any day, unless I'm in a crowded metro area, then I'll take a stubby Mack CH or R model hands down.
