The X15 isn't much different than the last series ISX-15 (cm2350). Majority of the difference is in the emission system. The emission system is supposed to be better on the X15 but at 600,000 miles I would have it checked with insite to see the frequency of regens. Running empty a lot is good for the rest of the truck, however it's not good for the emissions system because it needs heat to keep it clean. Insite will show the last 10 regen cycles which is a clue to how healthy the system is, & a regen test can also be performed with insite. I believe you can buy a Cummins Encore Warranty up to 650,000 miles on the motor as long as it passes Cummins inspection, if it can't pass the Encore Inspection RUN.
