That's what happens when anyone with a pulse can sign on.

 

Seems back around 2006 fuel started to get pricey. Remember seeing prices well into the high $5.00 range.
If memory serves me, the prices stayed close to $5.00 for quite a while, maybe a couple of years.

 

I have refrained from posting there. On the very first page someone went to the "It happens to everyone..." BS. That crap is like a bad rash in trucking.

Anyone who uses that line, immediately loses all respect from me.

Rule #1: Don't hit anything!

And if you do, own your mistake and learn from it. It doesn't matter how minor you may think it is. How many other "drivers" have done the same thing is irrelevant. It is not ok to go around banging into other people's property.

 

Yep, and towards the end of '08, the whole thing popped.

If I had a dime for every time I heard someone bragging about fuel surcharge back then, I could retire. By summer '09 all those fuel surcharge truckers were broke and their trucks were being bought for a song.

 

Probably because you live in Canada? But you don't see them here either.

 

I won't lie, I'm secretly hoping I'm in a position to take advantage of that scenario when SHTF this go around.

 

Man I was looking at future courses after finally taking the time to sign into SNHU and I’m pretty psyched because they have courses such as sociopaths/psychopaths, serial killers, terrorism/counter terrorism, victimology, homeland security, so on and so forth lol I’ve always seemed to struggle with finding something I like to do as a profession, but now it definitely seems I found my niche
