455 is a bit low if you are going to play heavy in the mountains but is do-able. The I-shift is a good transmission as long as you don't mash it in the lowest 2 gears.
In Canada that tractor is fully capable of pulling super-b's(8 axles) at 140k but most owners turn them up to 505hp.Another Canadian driver and 86scotty Thank this. -
Yep, go have a dealer turn it up for you. What year? It cost me about a grand to have my 2015 D13 turned up from 425/1500 to 500/1750.

I'm not trying to pull crazy I was just trying to get my feet wet and try to stay with loads 55-60k that will keep my overall weight under 100,000
My truck weight is 20300lbs my trailer weight is 15300lbs I run out west here in America I avoid the big mountains on 70 in Colorado I try to avoid all of the big mountains I run a lot of flat land from Chicago all the way to Boise Idaho on 80 so you say your trucks in Canada like the one I have run heavy with no problemAnother Canadian driver Thanks this. -
Not looking to go that heavy just trying to stay right around that $100,000 and under just want to get where I'm making a little bit more money where I can step up and get me a more powerful truck thank you for answering my questionAnother Canadian driver Thanks this.

Change the power to 500 HP minimum.

Ok so 500 with that 12-speed eye shift transmission will be okay for how much weight can I pull with no problem if you can tell mebeastr123 and Another Canadian driver Thank this.

110k pounds/50T.
I do it with a 2012 VNL 64T780 500HP 2.64 rear ends, direct drive I-Shift.
68mph/1500 RPM.
110kpound fuel mileage is 6.5 miles/US gallon/year average, no mountains.
I could do 7 miles/US gallon average if I limit max speed to 60/mph 1300 RPM top.
I hope it helps you.beastr123 Thanks this. -
