Newer engines, older engines, exhaust diameter, length, muffler, no muffler and curve vs. straight. I’ve got trucks with 5”, 6” and 7”. All have different engines and all undoubtedly sound different. Without a doubt my W9 with N14 and 7”, sounds the best. I know that’s personal opinion but it seems to me that 7” is the sweet spot. I’d like to do an exhaust on my 379, with B model cat. I want to give it that deep caterpillar growl and the current 6” straight pipes don’t quite do it for me.

If you really want it to rumble, do a weedburner with a turned down tip.

That could cause an issue, with these trucks going in an out of corn and wheat stubble fields.
