We are still trucking with TNI. Had a mini-meltdown after staying out too long without hometime by my own choice. Took a 3 week vacation and blew a lot of money, but back on track. I vow to include some mental health days at home in my plan.

Glad to hear all is well. I did the gone forever OTR crap years ago myself. Hard on your body and relationships. 5 days a week is plenty for me now.

Ok. I've been mulling over what to say about a recent adventure. During our big meltdown vacation, Bolt and I strayed from the reservation and spent a week with another company.
The experience was so bad I quit after 3 days and never even lost a beat with TNI cuz we were technically on vacation.
I don't like bashing another company unless they clearly deserve it and I'm not sure the place would be as awful for someone else, especially if they were male. I don't think this place will make Women in Trucking's top 10.
I rarely pull the victim card but sometimes it just is what it is and I've decided to allow this company to remain anonymous.
All their trucks were crap cascadias with DD12s tuned so low they couldn't get out of their own smoke, but there were 3 guys in orientation with me and they were each assigned almost brand new trucks. They tried to give me the oldest truck they had but it broke down before it could drive off the lot so they gave me the second oldest.
My list of things to hate goes way beyond the equipment, but as I said I don't like bashing a company, so I'm just glad I came to my senses and went home to Daddy before it was too late. I sound like a cheating spouse going through a midlife crisis. Lol.
