    What if you don't renew your medical card? In my state you automatically get downgraded to the regular license

    The lady at the check-in counter told me that the state is trying to discourage drivers from going back to class C license because of the CDL driver shortage. So they are making it as difficult as possible to switch back to a class C. My medical card expired in January, and the state doesn't seem to care. I'm still class A as far as California is concerned.

    this week ?
    Nothing to get excited about yet but may be worth it to turn the ignition on.

    My phone actually rang a single time Monday. For these last few weeks its been crickets except for my regulars.

    No problems for me getting my average rate. It is a lot harder to hook em but I've been managing, it just takes a lot more phone time.

    I should add that I have been running less miles the last couple weeks but I've kept the RPM up to where I like it, or maybe I should say where I can live with it.

    News to me. Good to hear. Load volume is off. Lots of loads in places that normally don’t have many, out East. Florida is deader than ever. I’m headed to Ga. after recuperating. Delivered Monday, then did a short trip, that delivered today. $13.80 pm load. $400 on 29 miles. 12 mile DH knocked me down to $9.76 pm all miles. Added to original trip, knocked my total avg pm up from $3.32 to $3.68 pm. 300 mike DH now, will knock it back down. Not bad, since I was going to be here till today anyways. Like to do 4 of those everyday. Actually saw a load to Tx. for .85 cpm. Cut my losses, plenty of loads up north of Macon. Time to focus on net revenue after fuel. Meanwhile try to keep average total pm up, to avoid eventual failure. Definitely a tricky market. I too have had a few cold calls looking for a Truck in different areas. Good sign. Interested to see how high I can keep my avg. from now till Friday, for a 7 day avg.
