A lot of companies trying to hire women drivers back in the 50’s and 60’s, huh? And the only dismantling required to tow and automatic is to drop the trailer and tow it from the back. Not really that big of deal.Wasted Thyme Thanks this.

Companies used automatics in big trucks in the 50s and 60s ??
it’s the same as school busses.
Use automatics and presto , you can hire women drivers . -

He ignorantly stated they were designed for women. Allison designed their first heavy duty auto trans in the mid to late 40’s.
Anymore it’s just comical to me when someone pounds their chest and brags about clutching to something outdated. I haven’t seen any farmers sitting around bragging that they don’t have auto steer or how they will never use yield mapping software. -
He's both sexist and anti auto. Plus thinks flying isn't safe. Because we have so many crashes each year. SMH

I wonder what "needed" to to be "dismantled" to tow it... After all, it only requires the removal of the drive shaft (just like his beloved 13-speed).
