I have a few buddies from around Halifax and Cape Breton. They've told me how brutal the environment is on vehicles. Must be something to do with being near the ocean?Coffey and Another Canadian driver Thank this.

Heat disbursement and ground clearance are important to me and just what you said too
Because Iam pretty my truck would look like a Dockson Dachshund dog with 22:5 on itCoffey, Another Canadian driver, Feedman and 2 others Thank this. -
I know a mouth ago I shredded a trailer tire in Alabama because of the heat..
It cost me 480. for a 24.5.. the old boy at the tire shop was smiling the whole time too .. and it was the only 24.5 he had tooAnother Canadian driver, Bean Jr., Rideandrepair and 2 others Thank this. -
Air born salt from the ocean is as bad as road salt, this one is inland so will be interesting to see how good or bad it is.
Another Canadian driver and AModelCat Thank this. -
Look very closely at the amount of mouse damage and how bad it stinks
I caught at least 15 of the sobs out of my green kw after I bought it (was to cheap not to buy lol) Thankfully these particular mice didn’t like wires but they sure did a job on the backside of the panels. It’s been mouse free for 3 years and in damp weather it still stinks. If the mice are the only problem I hope you like interior work.Another Canadian driver, Bean Jr., BoxCarKidd and 5 others Thank this. -
Found a family of 4 nesting under the glovebox of mine when I was gutting it. I pulled the headliner and there was an easy 20-30 lbs of mouse crap up there.Another Canadian driver, kah68, W923 and 1 other person Thank this.

22.5 Lo pro has become more popular since oil first hit $100 barrel, about the time Hurricane Katrina hit. Fleets, and even some O/Os started spec new Trucks with them, to save money. Truckstops catering to mostly Fleets, often only have 2 or 3 of the other sizes on hand. Still available elsewhere.
Another Canadian driver, BoxCarKidd and kah68 Thank this. -
That would be quite a ' gearing change ' no?Another Canadian driver, Bean Jr. and Rideandrepair Thank this.

On my Truck with 3.54 gear, 24.5LP, going to a 22.5LP is slightly more of a change than a 3.70 gear would make. R11s are very close to the same height as 24.5LP. Results would be close to the same. Eaton has charts online for comparing tires/gears, RPMs, and speeds using different combinations.Last edited: Aug 16, 2022
