You are going to school, or orientation? $500 is too much for 3 nights! I want my own room for that price. I am guessing I will owe nothing for my stay.

Lodging for me was 500 dollars for the school. Orientation is in a different hotel if you are in a different terminal area.

Just guessing here but I don't think orientation is part of the school??? You can be hired and have to attend orientation with out necessarily schooling at Swift.

No, you sign a contract for it just like with the tuition for school.

whew if that was the case i was kinda screwed. whats funny is the recruiter told me that i would most likely not have to do my dot phys since i already had it. but i am going under the idea that i still have to do it. on a side note if you look at the different locations for the schools they all have different start times and requirements.:biggrin_2556: and road dust i have to say you have been more helpfull than my recruiter in answering simple questions. thank you :biggrin_25514:

Yeah Rug, you will need to do a road test at orientation but I am not sure what it consists of. Those of us who went through the Swift academy are not required to do a road test at orientation since we already tested in everything during the academy.

Thanks gearrat! I am glad I could help. I hear ya on the DOT physical. I didn't get one before going and my old one was expired. My recruiter said requiring students to get one before coming in was to weed out students who could not pass the physical, so as to not waste their time coming to school and then not passing. Everyone has to get a new physical on the first day of school regardless. They justified it by saying they could have gotten a DOT physical from a chiropractor or someone not even qualified to do it.
