    And shortage everywhere.

My son had SNAP tools ordered for his automotive technology program at SIU a few months ago. He got a notification all delivered to school shortly after placing an order.
During his first week of classes all students who ordered from SNAP have to wait a few more weeks. And we don't know if everything will arrive in time.

I'm not hearing back from my second broker even though I know the freight is there.
I'm holding on ropes and hoping they will get back to me. (Don't take it literally)
My first broker is GONE for good. No response at all.
And I remember times when she was calling and asking for help.

This is why you need to get the best freight when it is out there and not let them get discounts. When it is good go all in and when it is bad hang on to the loads that are worth moving. Brokers come and go no matter what.

I take notes SLinman. I'm still learning the ropes. One of the brokers might still send something. So, that helps. The other broker though, the one that's gone, have been telling the truth. It looks the shipper paused or stalled the operation for weeks now. But she doesn't send me anything now. All is taken already by others. She doesn't want to find me another regular load that she can pay others less to haul.

Have you ever wondered what the person looks like on the other side of that smart phone?

Wait, during last two years, when you said you exclusively hauled freight for one customer, was it actually for a shipper, or for a broker?

    Oxbow and Siinman Thank this.

I don't haul exclusively for one shipper. I do a bit of both...

Nah just keep it how it is, the cycles are probably the best thing about this business. Nobody forces them to haul cheap, they willingly do it. Do they have to haul cheap because of personal decisions such as paying 100k for a truck with 500k miles? Probably the same guy who just got his brand new house and car too. These people deserve to bankrupt because they flooded the industry in record numbers.

These are people who have to keep moving and no are even struggling to break even. First repair and poof bankruptcy.

Soon anyone that has brokered freight is going to be made to pay reparations to carriers.
