OMG, another publication that I'm going to have to set straight. They forgot the most important factor of Truck Accidents. Uneducated 4 wheelers. :biggrin_25516:

He works for 4 wheelers. It's a truck lawyer. He doesn't care about the facts. He is the reason you don't speed and keep a clean log book. A car can pull out from a stop sign or run a stop sign and all he has to find is one little thing wrong on your end and make it look as though you contributed to it and he might make some easy money. With the crazy moves the retirees in Florida make and drivers playing the odds he probably makes good money settling out of court with trucking companies.

You know I see alot of idiots out there... some in 4 wheelers and some in 18 wheelers...

I Know as the professional driver it is my responsibility to watch out for and be prepared for the idiots to pull out in front of me...

To put it in a different perspective, truckers complaining about 4 wheelers driving bad... is like the teachers who complain that kids don't already know the material because parents aren't teaching them...

I personally think the reason truckers are complaining more about 4-wheelers is the deterioration in 4-wheeler skills and courtesy in the time some of us have been driving. I got my CDL in '96, and it's gotten worse for a number of reasons that I won't rehash here.

That's exactly what my hubby says too. Some of the stuff that I've seen riding with him, makes me so angry. Common sense is just gone anymore.

Lavender, with all due respect, there have been studies on this, and the percentage of accidents with Trucks and 4 wheelers, leans way over to the 4 wheeler side (78% is the fault of the 4 wheeler). Including the fact that in the studies, when alcohol and drugs were involved it was the 4 wheeler, not the trucker that was under the influence. We seriously need to educate our motoring public to learn to share the roads with our professional drivers.
