Has any owner operators out there having problems with some brokers not wanting to use them because the FMCSA is not showing an inspection in the last 24 months?

Yes, twice recently. Makes no sense to me.

Just to make it clear.
An annual inspection as required by FMCSA is not the same thing as a CVSA inspection.
Now if the brokers are talking about an FMCSA annual inspection, simply get it done at any shop.
If they are talking about a CVSA inspection (CSA) then nothing you can really do. You can ask for an inspection, but by default the answer is no (as per CVSA guidelines).Big Road Skateboard and Rideandrepair Thank this. -
Good point. We’re referring to Snapshot.

It's not annual inspections, it's actual inspections by DOT.

This is also why some customers will require your MC number at pickup... it has to match the number of the "provider" who booked the load. If not, you can't get loaded because they know you were the victim of a double-broker scam.Rideandrepair Thanks this. -
