DD 15 engine

    Hi,
    I've heard differing views on the dd15. Until 2017 I understood they break down very often because they couldn't figure out the emmisions problem.
    So let's say I get a model after '17 is that a good choice.
    Need to get a new engine for my cascadia 2011. It had a dd15 14L until now.
    Please post and share what you advise.

    Why a new or different engine?
    If the block is good, an overhaul would be most economical.

    Mechanic told me not worth it to fix.

    Engines aren’t the problem so buying a 17 only means you need to buy all the emissions for a 17 .. first thing I’d check on your 11 is water pump they are cheap and wear out .
