Was told to go to the wrong place…..this hill phoenix goes to plant 2 and not the warehouse on old stage. Got an extra stop pay out of it. Waiting for them to live unload since there is no brakes on this trailer and it will move if I drop it and they bounce in and out of it. How can anyone not tell the brakes aren’t working on a trailer…..or they knew and did not care when dropping it in Ga…..oh well, Im getting it fixed, lol!

Finished up a 34 in Carnesville, Ga and headed the rest of the way to a Publix in Spanish Fort, AL to drop these 8 crates of Hill Phoenix parts off. Supposed to drop trailer. Guessing Ill be bobtailing to Atlanta, don’t know where else they would send me from there.

I will be coming back out on Thursday after 4 weeks off. I took a weeks vacation this week but as things have turned out, I’ll be able to leave a little early. I’m scheduled to take a drug test Wednesday afternoon in order to go back. I will give some props to Abilene, they haven’t called once or said a word about the truck being parked down the road from the house. In fact, when I called in, they questioned me if I was in fact ready to leave out because of my mom. I am.

It’s been a very long tiring last 9 days. If anyone wants to meet an Angel here on earth, it’s my wife Lesli. Mom is home with us while she gets her strength built back up. Not going to go into detail, but I will say this, she’s got a long road ahead of her with her chemo treatments the next 4-6 months. Her Dr’s are awesome, the hospital is awesome and the family is all here pitching in. Her spirits are great, we all know what needs to be done, and everyone is here to help.

I will leave out Thursday knowing my wife has this all under control. Our life as we know it has been turned upside down, but my strength through all this is enforced by my moms attitude as well as my wife’s.

I still have a job to do and will continue with it as long as I can. If anything changes, then it’s a short plane ride home. We have been through a lot as a family, especially my mom, after seeing everything mom has been through these last 9 days, anything we need to do will be done.

Safe travels everyone, see you all on Thursday.

I know firsthand what you are going through, JB, and it is indeed a hard situation for all involved. Thankfully, you have your wife to help. Make sure that she is also taken care of. Caregiver burnout is a very real thing. One foot in front of the other. That’s all you can do. While work is important for financial reasons, family is everything. I will continue to add you and yours to my daily prayers. Take care.

    JohnBoy,
You and your entire family are at the front of my thoughts and prayers. A good wife is a blessing from up above and you surely have one as do I. I can't tell you enough to keep your spirits high and everything will be fine. Good luck to you and safe travels.

Ended up bobtailing me to Brookhaven Walmart to grab an empty and drop it on the WM yard and grabbed a York load that was due tomorrow but got it rescheduled to drop Thursday instead since the computers were down at the Walmart and had to wait 2.5 hrs to get in so my 14 caught up with me. Between loaded and empty miles Ill be getting close to 1400 miles on this trip.
