What’s up, everyone? Today I watched a Dane Scott video where he took a couple of his GMC cabovers to the old Keystone truckstop at Exit 1 off of I-90 in Pennsylvania. He said it was home to a lot of his old school trucking memories. So, I was wondering if the experienced hands on here have any old truckstops that they used to frequent but that are no longer with us. Please share about your favorite old truckstops and any stories you may have. As always, thanks!

Just because you said Pennsylvania and I-90. Remember the Green Shingle truck stop. Seems like it was pretty good for that time.

It was the place to stop in the area it a green roof I guess that how it got the name. Then Dixe bought it out and tried to keep it open but it went down hill fast. The TA was not built yet, so it was the place to stop in snow storm on that part of I-90. It was open in the 90s when we started driving.singlescrewshaker, special-k, Another Canadian driver and 3 others Thank this. -
The Smokey Valley truck stop in Olive Hill Ky was a great place to eat good country cooking when I started trucking. Years ago they had the Banner/door sticker for nearly every major truck line that frequented them on the wall of the restaurant. It closed in 2015 unfortunately.
