Loving the Kwik Trip / Kwik Star TS locations (Not QT)

This one didnt have like the area where you can buy grapes/fruit and sandwiches and all that good stuff. The prepackaged chicken fettuccini, and all those items that you could microwave. They did have the area where the 2 piece chicken boxes were at. But, definitely not like the Kwik Trips im used to seeing when coming up this way. When I left Mt Vernon, Washington Monday headed to Roanoke Va for Friday I already knew I was gonna come across US20 in Iowa, so I had already planned to stop at one after verifying Kwik Star was the same as Kwik Trip.......Maybe it was just that one store...I dont know.

 

Oh they are still one of the better stops that I always look forward to...... yes it was small stop but, unfortunately I was hungry and my rant was about the lack of food at this location

 

Lack of food is unacceptable, especially at a Kwik Trip !!

 

Kwik Trip kept the name Kwik Star in Iowa, so the stores would not be confused with QuikTrip

 

So normally do the Kwik Stars offer same food as the Kwik Trips?

 

My personal favorite KT is Wilson, WI. I94 x. 28, just east of the Twin Schitties.

I’ve only ever been to the Kwik Trips, not the Kwik Stars. Some are better than others but by far most I’ve been to were worth stopping at.

 

I just saw that Kwik Trip is taking over the Belmont Travel Center in Belmont, WI. Now, I love Kwik Trip but no so much when they take over an independent truck stop I like.
