Pride Transport, Inc. - Salt Lake City, Ut.?

Any Pride Transport drivers here? How much east coast do they do? I noticed there average length of haul is 1200 miles. Im just trying to keep this post updated, I see alot of them out here but not much info on these boards.

 

I gotta agree with you, you were not bashing the mormon church, but what you said is true, i use to work at cre and my trainer was a mormon, him and cre were full of crap and lied more than someone on the street; and thats saying a lot when im a person that grew up in baltimore city,md!

 

I cannot find any information on this company anywhere? maybe I did not dig deep enough. So far I know that it is CR Englands son and his wife that owns it. They are finacialy sound, Run 2009-10 trucks. and from there the trial goes cold. Any information would be helpfull good or bad.
The scary part is they sound to good to be true in a lot of ways!
and this is scarier than knowing what to expect!

Yet it is owned by one of the Sons, but it a completely different Company. At one point it was a no love lost relationship. Cr England Sued to take part of their original name off, was Pride of England. Terminal was next door to CR England if my memory is right.

Back in 96-97 was told they treated their drivers better than CR did.

 

I did talk to a few drivers last winter and found out they do not let you route around bad weather. A Pride driver and I were both loading in Kent, Wa just south of Seattle and were both heading towards the midwest. At the time Snoqualmie Pass I90 was closed and expected to remain closed for at least 36 hours. His company routed him over the pass on I90 and would not let him reroute around the storm even after he talked to his dispatch. As far as I know he had to wait out the storm while I rerouted down through Oregan and make delivery time. But that could be an isolated incident. I do know their trucks look nice.

I drove to SLC early ( my little jeep should rember it's a jeep ( Patriot) when I actualy think its a car on steriods But wanted to travel early and enjoy the scenary passed like 6 of their trucks on the way here ( yea they look pretty good ) but im having sever thoughts they move pretty slow ( or was it the fact I was doing 80? ) gawed im having swift ids im use to driving a Peter Built 379

 

If what they told me is true they do not go east of the missisipi ( but they do go to New york ) ?

 

Are you currently working for them? What are your thoughts so far? Any bs idling restrictions? Do their trucks still run 65? What is the avg length of haul. How many weekly miles are drivers getting?
