It's been a few months since I've seen any fuel cost me $5 a gallon. Most places I'm running are closer to $4. I'll be topping up tomorrow in Wisconsin for $3.86 a gallon. And what kind of fuel mileage do you get in that 389?

That's with the nastc discount you get . The price at pump is still 5$/ gal . I get close to 7-7.5 on light loads and 6 on full paper or water loads .

We get Pilot cost plus pricing. What's your year to date average though? I have an older FLD, parked out of commission for the time being, that does 6.5 on a good day but when I idle for comfort that mofo will go below 6 easily. I'm gonna say 5.8 since I've had it. I'd be shocked to see a hood do much better than that. Lots of competitors out here are running trucks that easily get 8 mpg loaded up heavy without hardly even trying...

That's good if you got a good rate out of them but I signed up with them 3 years ago and never hauled a single load. They are always .50 to 1$ / mile lower than the spot market + extra headache of dealing with their warehouses and rco + disputing pay . And if you haul their load in your trailer you can bet on camping at their warehouse for 12 hours

$2.anything per mile is bad if you making payments on $200,000 truck you bought last year and paying $5 a gallon for fuel and $7 for a Peelot Pizza.
    Costs too high.

Most definitely on the camping part. But 4 years now and no issues with pay or anything else. I just dont take their low paying loads, and i know their lanes and how to manipulate the system to my advantage. Never hauled JB hunt but i do look daily. I do a few others as well but i try to stay within a 0.25 range of dry van. I figure ill give up the 0.25 since its not my trailer in exchange for the 10k-35k loads.

Paid 50% down so I am basically paying a used truck note . Trailer is paid off . Pay 600$ ins/month . Buy fuel with nastc so around 3.8$/ gal . And #### I do overpay on pizza . That's the bleeder right there.
