APU. Noise and fumes.

I’ve been running local/regional for the past several years, home every day, but I STILL have my old 2005 Rigmaster sitting in the shed. It is in great condition, and I think I would remount it to my truck if I ever go back to hauling regional. It’s old and loud with the ol’ Perkins 2 cylinder, but I’m NOT going to stay a night in the sleeper without an APU!

 

I realize this is an old thread but one thing I found interesting is this last truck I put on the road… it fired up the evolution APU and filled the shop with smoke within 10 mins while the truck itself could have ran 24 hrs and been less Smokey. Crazy!

 

I would much rather listen to a truck idle, than those APUs that have a terrible sound.
