Correct. I don't sit for free nor chump change. If you want to give your services away feel free but I don't. Also, I still haul for Trinity...just not this dirt bag and his pathetic coercion attempts but that's another story entirely. How long have you had your authority?

I had rates from $2.78 per mile to $3.43 per mile get rejected today...8 of them. I'll keep bidding the upper range. Trend lines are moving up!

5 years, I am trying to be professional and respectful. What you did is wrong. Sitting is a big part of trucking. Usually when you sit longer, you get paid too. Yesterday I made $200 extra just for sleeping in my truck at a receiver door.

It's sad that you think giving services away for free is an acceptable part of Trucking. I disagree 100 percent. I already gave them 4 hours ($400) for nothing. That was my limit. If im not generating 100/hr then I'm not being profitable.

If you think you got paid what you were worth while you're getting screwed then good for you. There's no way I would have done that. Telling me I'm wrong because you don't agree with how I run my business is ignorant.

You haul cheap. Am I going to tell you you're wrong for it? No, I'll will say you're foolish for it though. However, you're out of line to tell me I'm wrong for not being a bottom feeder like yourself.

    I have to agree.
Pay me, and pay me well, or watch my tailights disappear over the horizon.

Exactly. It's business. I already came down almost 200 on the line haul because that was, "all he had in it". Then, I lost another two hundred sitting there for 2 free hours. Then I'm supposed to sit indefinitely after those 2 hours for less then 100/hr? Not happening. I lived up to my end of the deal and more! There's only so much I can give before I'm taking massive losses.

The ironic thing is that the manager who is running a business badly, causing the long waits, is probably making $600,000 a year.

For reefer, and some dry van loads maybe, but not so much for flatbed which is what I believe @ProfessionalNoticer does.

Right! Because he's found brokers willing to lie and coerce carriers into giving away free (or practically free) services.

Yes, sir. It was machinery (a telehandler specifically) coming out of JLG.
