N14 sudden oil consumption with a topend knock

Sent our mechanic to work on the truck
lets se tomorrow what he sees when he opens up
opening the oil pan and look for any damage, plus injectors
lets hope its simple

1 bad injector, 1 almost failing injector
1 messed up piston
seems like we need an inframe -
Depending on the condition of the rest of the engine you could just do one cylinder
I would put in a good word for pai brand for aftermarket parts for cummins engines of that vintage. -
We are cleaning everything up so we can get an idea … hoping its only that piston, thats bad..
injectors had some rust in them , as well as one head … someone had a heating problem that did not disclose to us it seems..
I can get cummins brand around the same price as pai down here , some places cheaper .. fp and mcbee around the same , so might go with who ever has it in hand and gives me a 30 days store credit so we can get it back to work and recover that money

Pretty sure pai has a year more warranty
But I wouldn’t let that stop me from buying whatever of those brands I could put my hands on -
Went with pai after all..
just two pistons , 4 and 6 … got the injectors washing the cylinders, pistos roughed up
6 reman injectors
2 pistons
Overlhaul kit pai
should be back up and running by saturday
