Can the auxillary on an Eaton 8LL be changed to make it a 13? I have an 8LL that was supposed to be a 13, but the seller didn't know what they sent me. Now they won't stand behind their mistake. Trying to figure out my next step and thought if just the auxillary could be changed I may try to find one.
Can auxiliary be changed on 8LL?

For anyone to be able to answer that question they need more information.
What is the model number?
What are you wanting to change it to? -
No. The 8LL is a close cousin to a 15 spd. Basically a heavy duty 9/10 spd with a deep reduction for getting moving in soft soil or with heavy loads on hills etc. Once you get used to the bigger gap's between gears they're a really nice transmission imo.

For a dump truck.
I hate mine in my semi running 100-140 gross.
I don’t believe they can be made into a 13 speed eitherBean Jr. Thanks this. -
All depends on the main box. My 15 speed can convert to a 10 by swapping the 3 speed aux to the appropriate 2 speed aux.
BoxCarKidd and Bean Jr. Thank this. -
Ya I should have clarified under 100000 gross. The big gaps can get old when you're over that or if you don't have an engine that pulls well over a wide rpm range. I always wished you could split the top gear in my 8LL for pulling rolling hills when you're grossed out at 139,500

Why can I not find post number 1 ?
Weight you are grossing has nothing to do with what is available with auxiliary box options.
I am out of here. Good Day.
