Oregon Woman Sues McDonalds Over Too-Hot Coffee

Oh please! She should have double checked to make sure the lid was on correctly. I always do that with no matter what I buy. People are too sue happy these days.

 

Your right,...The person who put the lid on should have check that it was secure,...

It's kind of hard for a customer sitting in a car in a drive through to check the lid on something being handed to them,...

 

But it said in the article she burned her right leg. So it had to have been in the car with her and she spilt it on herself. I always make sure the lid is on whenever I'm handed something. Besides I don't grab it from the lid I grab it from the bottom for this very reason.

 

Just another sue happy idiot out there. Doesn't everyone like their coffee HOT and their beer COLD?

 

Isn't this the same as the story from 1994?!? Liebeck v. McDonald's Restaurants, that old shakey handed woman got $2.8 million for spilling her coffee. Today's clumsy fool only wants $7,500?? What an under achiever.

 

If it was me I'd sue for a million and start my own trucking company and then donate the rest to the trucker's who need it. If Uncle Sam asks for any money I'll tell them what money? I didn't get any money? When I make a profit I'll send you a check, until then Uncle Sam you ain't seeing a penny.
