I've been trucking for 14 years, the last 10 with Pat Salmon and Sons (a U.S. Postal Contractor) out of Albuquerque, and need to find a GOOD company in the Portland, Oregon area. My mom is getting up there in age and I think she would appreciate my being in the area to help her with things. If any of you guys and gals can recommend a good, reliable carrier in the great northwest, I would be obliged. I've got 14 years of on time, accident free experience hauling reefers and dry vans. I prefer an hourly wage, but if the wages are good, I'd consider mileage pay. I also prefer something local or regional, but again, in these tough times, I would be willing to run most anywhere if the price was right. Thanks for your help in this matter...Dave (SlickDigit)

Well there is a ton of companies up this way, way to many for me to list. Your usual suspects like JB, Swift and Schneider. There are lots of manufacturing places that might have one or two trucks. If I was in your shoes I would look at one of the food products distributors like Sysco or FSA or one of the fuel hauling companies like Carson or Harris, there are at least seven or eight fuel companies here and I cant think of their names right off hand. Lots of LTL shops here, TNT, Con-Way, Oak Harbor, Peninsula etc.....Of all the ones that people mentioned probably the only one I would no consider is May, and only because I view them as more of a starter company, nothing against them

    SlickDigit Thanks this.
