if you’re dealing in absolutes, and want a even playing field so that everyone has to work under the same terms: I’m sure you don’t understand my point of view.

    Life isn’t fair.

Too many people in this game think they need to see everybody else’s cards and that’ll help them. That’s an employee mentality. I don’t wanna make what the next guy makes. I don’t care what the next guy in a truck is making. I don’t care what the next guy behind a desk brokering freight is doing. I don’t care what the real estate agent makes. I don’t care about any of them, cause they ain’t paying my bills. I put my price on what I’m selling- win lose or draw that’s my price and that’s what I’m gonna get.

There’s a handful of people in this thread that would do well to take a business basics 101 class.

Same position last year - I told them what I wanted for the property, and the gal I'd worked with before disclosed her percentage and blah- de - blah - , she delivered what I wanted for the property. I care less what she makes, it must be profitable for her if she answers my calls.

Like I said - I don't care what anyone else makes - just cut me the check for what I wanted in my initial negotiation. Real estate is not my business - I haven't invested time or knowledge into it - here's my bottom line, call me when you have a deal.

Always the absolute answer that I'm happy with. The "Did you leave $$ on the table" argument might drive you crazy.

Yessir - same as above. Am I an idiot for seeing it this way also?

Exactly. It doesn't matter what you're making and it doesn't matter what I'm making.
    What matters is my house.
And if I'm doing fine, I'm doing fine.
    Move on.

I hope all the cheap freight haulers continue to take all the cheap freight they can handle and run them selves out of business as quickly as possible.
After that truck capacity tightens and hang on your hat and be ready to roll because there will be a ton of money to be made.

if you can’t make money with a truck, you don’t know how to make money. Nobody else is gonna make you make money.[/QUOTE]

I had a guy say about the same thing to me a few months ago about surviving in a bad economy. He says you can always scratch out a living with a truck.

I was just pointing out a possible hilarious element of what that change could bring about, you all of a sudden talk about someone's complaining or that something stops working for someone.
Do you see anyone complaining? Sure it is not me. I am good. It does not mean that I should not think of embracing things that would make it better for me or might.
    Ever play chess?
If I have a pawn advancing to the last row, I'll change it to Queen.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------

Go back to the other thread Truck Load Rates Halt 8 Week Slide 2.0 scroll back to the covid lockdown times and see who is complaining there about who.
And they want to teach me capitalism. How smart that was, complaining about me running cheap and then telling me I did not know what capitalism was.
How smart is it to be bitching and moaning about bottom feeders and then rejecting even the slightest suggestions for a solution? They would want to rid of their undesired element, yet they are too weak to accomplish that in their grand capitalistic way: so they are against the broker's cut and transparency, but still pointing fingers at someone who is f...ing it up for them, by doing exactly what they doing except...cheaper.

And you people want to tell me that the free market concept suits you?
